DragonLinux doesn't require an extremely powerful system to run. It will run on systems as far back as the 386. Here is a general idea of what is required to run DragonLinux.
386 processor (486 or Pentium class recommended)
16MB RAM (8MB might make it for console, 32-64MB for X recommended)
