Earlier this year, Acer Communication & Multimedia announced that they were forming a new company and brand totally
separate from Acer. This new company was to be called Benq. The name "Benq" might sound a little odd, but it means “bring
enjoyment and quality to life”. If a fast CD-RW is your idea of enjoyment, they've hit their market. Like Acer Communication
& Multimedia, Benq's product line covers a variety of things including LCD displays, scanners, digital cameras and optical
storage products like DVD-ROM and CD-RW drives.
